As we expand our DeFi investment capabilities, we are seeking a DeFi Financial Analyst to conduct deep financial analysis of investment opportunities, support due diligence processes, and provide ongoing financial monitoring of our DeFi portfolio companies.

Project Overview

The DeFi Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in Panga Ventures' investment process, conducting detailed financial analysis of DeFi protocols, assessing tokenomics models, and monitoring portfolio company performance. This role requires deep understanding of DeFi mechanics, financial modeling expertise, and the ability to evaluate complex protocol economics and risk frameworks. If you have experience with DeFi protocol analysis, financial modeling, and investment research, this position offers significant growth potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence on DeFi investment opportunities including protocol revenues, tokenomics, and growth projections.
• Build sophisticated financial models for DeFi protocols covering TVL growth, token economics, yield generation, and revenue sustainability.
• Monitor and analyze portfolio company financial performance, including on-chain metrics, token performance, and key business indicators.
• Prepare detailed investment memorandums and financial summaries for investment committee decisions.
• Research DeFi market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging investment opportunities.
• Support portfolio companies with financial planning, tokenomics optimization, and performance tracking.
• Collaborate with investment team on valuation models, exit strategies, and portfolio optimization.
• Analyze on-chain data using tools like Dune Analytics, Nansen, and DeFiLlama to inform investment decisions.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of financial analysis experience, preferably in venture capital, DeFi, or fintech environments.
• Strong background in financial modeling, DCF analysis, and investment valuation methodologies.
• Deep understanding of DeFi protocols, tokenomics, yield farming, and protocol economics.
• Experience with on-chain data analysis and DeFi analytics platforms.
• Proficiency in Excel, Python, or other financial modeling and data analysis tools.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related quantitative field; CFA or similar certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex financial analysis.
